HEALTH CARE PROCESS

Now the Baucus Health Bill has passed we have the following to look forward to:  Senate will merge their other bill with the Baucus Health Bill; the House will merge their 3 bills; then the MERGED BILLS will go to a CONFERENCE COMMITTEE  composed of members from both the House and Senate where they will negotiate for a FINAL BILL from all 5 bills.  If these bills are Reconciled into a APPROVED FINAL BILL, that bill will go to the President for his signature which will make mandatory health care the law of the land.  My point here is the BAUCUS HEALTH BILL was but a minor first step into Health Care Reform and who knows what the final bill will be composed of or how much it will cost.  By the way, all the House Bills have the public option in them and Nancy swears it will be in the final bill.  From this point on, all negotiations will be held behind closed doors. Who knows what the FINAL bill will consist of????
