| | Heather Reddemann was born in south central Minnesota and grew up on a dairy farm. Living out in the country allowed her access to land and opportunities to enjoy and learn what the great outdoors had to offer. CComing from a history of hunters in her family, hutning and the outdoors were not only traditions, but a way of life passed down from her father and uncles. Heather has over 17 years of hunting experience under her belt. She never knew though, her life would end up revolving around hunting and the outdoors. After completing her undergrad work in Biology at SDSU, Heather now resides in southern South Dakota, finding her home along some of the best historical parts of Lewis and Clark’s adventures of the Missouri River. This area is rich in quality waterfowl, turkey, upland and deer hunting. Heather works for the newest waterfowl decoy manufacturer on the market, Dakota Decoy Company as Media Relations Manager. Heather also works through the state pharmacy of South Dakota. She has worked for several years in the hunting industry and is pleased to be on the other side of the spectrum, understanding all that goes into running a company and developing durable and realistic products for demanding hunters. Heather also can be found working sportsmen's shows giving seminars on waterfowl and turkey hunting, getting women involved in the outdoors and gundog training. It allows her to share her knowledge of the outdoors and get others interested in what the outdoors has to offer. She spends her spare time training her labradors, mentoring youth and women, playing golf and tennis, cooking wild game, writing about the outdoors and photography, traveling and spending time with her wonderful friends and family. Heather also served annually for the past three years as the only female counselor at a youth waterfowl camp up in northern Minnesota called MWA’s Woodie Camp. She believes in passing on our traditions of hunting and keeping them alive for future generations. Heather also won the 2007 Northstar Ladies Goose Calling Championship held at Gamefair. She looks forward to competing again this coming August in 2008. Heather has been offering the chance for others to experience hunting through guiding snow goose hunters in the spring. It has allowed for her to share her passion of this wonderful spectacle of the spring, participate in the conservation order regarding their overpopulation and to meet so many wonderful people from all across the nation. She also has been a hunt donor to Hunting Down Cancer (www.huntingdowncancer.org) for the past couple of years. She is very honored to be part of this great cause and efforts. Heather has been on several local outdoor television shows, a guest speaker on a few outdoor radio talk shows and you can see her waterfowl hunting skills on Buck Gardner’s Fowl Play V DVD. Heather’s favorite location to hunt is the Black Hills for Merriam turkeys and the Big Horn River for Mallards. Heather has always been known for her down-to- earth personality and eagerness to help anyone learn about the outdoors and hunting. She currently is sponsored by and a current team member of Team Winchester, GK Calls, and Dakota Decoy Company. She is proud of her outdoor's history and loves to pass on the traditions of the outdoors through hunting to all ages and walks of life. | Articles by Heather Reddemann | Thank You Kota | The Last Pass | The Wait for Gobbles and Drums | Hunting Down Cancer | Help Keep Our Privileges Alive | A Journey In Itself- Black Hill’s Merriam Turkey Hunt | Sweet Home Minnesota | Caledonia-Minnesota's Wild Turkey Capital | Chasing South Dakota Roosters | Take A Closer Look | One Youth at a Time | The Broken Wing Outfitter Boys | Jewelry of a Different Kind | The Cure To my Waterfowlin' Blues | Reviews by Heather Reddemann | Cuddeback Digital Game Scouting Camera: The Real Deal Review | Quaker Boy’s Mini Mag Four Pack Product Review | |
