My Tribute to Coal Mine Workers of America

We all know there are many hazardous professions in America, but, seldom do we recognize those'

that put their lives on the line each day in the coal mining industry.  In 2009, 30 miners lost their lives just

going to work to earn a living in support of their families..  

These 30 deaths are down considerably because of newly implemented safety measures since that tragic 

day, January 2, 2006 at THE SAGO MINE DISASTER that trapped 13 men, of which only one survived.

So here today, I would like to salute these workers and their families for the courage and daily risk they

take every day they work in the coal mines.
