Shoe Deodorizer

I noticed that my shoes were not smelling so nice. I placed fabric softener sheets in the shoes hoping it would neutralize the odor but it did not work. I then remembered reading that newspaper can be used to neutralize odors in the refrigerator. I decided to try that idea with my shoes. I balled up two sheets of newspaper and inserted one in each of my shoes overnight and it completely removed the odor! I now keep newspaper in my shoes whenever I'm not wearing them and it keeps them odor-free.
