Don't Like Making Your Bed....???

Did you make your bed this morning with the precision of a Motel 6 housekeeper? If so, you could have a unwanted dust mite party happening on your 800 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets when you arrive home from work. Think a keg-filled microscopic bug shindig going down on the place you lay your face. Eeks!

The average bed harbors about 1.5 million dust mites, but researchers in England found that an unmade bed could be the best way to combat the millimeter-long bugs that feed on human skin cells. Unmade beds allow sheets to air-out, creating a dry environment that cuts off the moisture needed by the arachnids to survive. Tidy, made-up beds trap in moisture, allowing the bugs to thrive and can cause allergen and asthma problems.
