Spicy Barbecue Rub

Ingredients

2 tablespoons  brown sugar
1 tablespoon  granulated sugar
1 tablespoon  ground allspice
1 tablespoon  ground ginger
1 teaspoon  salt
1 teaspoon  ground cumin
1 teaspoon  ground red pepper
1 teaspoon  ground black pepper

Directions

1. In a small mixing bowl stir together the brown sugar, granulated sugar, allspice, ginger, salt, cumin, red pepper, and black pepper. Transfer to a small airtight container or bag. Store at room temperature for up to 6 months. Makes about 1/3 cup seasoning.
Preparation Directions
To use, sprinkle mixture evenly over meat, poultry, or fish. Rub in with your fingers. Grill as desired. If you like, serve with bottled chutney, barbecue sauce, sweet and sour sauce, or plum sauce.
