Beware Public Wi-Fi Hot Spots

FireSheep is a nasty little Firefox browser plug-in that makes wireless eavesdropping so easy that even a cave... well, you know.

Free Wi-Fi hotspots are often a hotbed for hackers looking to steal passwords to email and other personal accounts. Public Hotspots often are wide-open with no encryption or use a shared password which allows tools like FireSheep to eavesdrop on wireless traffic passing through the hotspot's access point. If you want to see some really scary stuff just go to Youtube and search for Firesheep.
