Google Chrome Browser May Get New UI

by arupchou on March 21, 2011

Google is known for experimenting and most of its experiments with its Chrome Browser have paid rich dividends. The browser Google Chrome UIsince its debut in 2008 has gained tremendous popularity among users worldwide. The search engine giant has brought out several versions of the browser in quick succession and each version has some new features or others. It seems like that the Mountain View, California based firm is experimenting for another major change in the Chrome browser’s UI and this change pertains to the home page in Chrome v12.0.709.0.

UI Change In Chrome v12.0.709.0

It seems that the starting page of the browser in Chrome v12.0.709.0 will look like more of an application screen. The home page and the new tab page will display a UI which will be pretty much the same as that in smartphones and other touch screen devices such as desktops and tablets.

Users can slide through the applications pretty much the same as they do in smartphones, but if there are limited applications installed than nothing much can be done about it. Users can find squares at the bottom of the home page which represents the application pages and in order to create a second page all they need to do is to select an application and then drag it and place it in the second square.

If users want to delete any application, then they need to drop them in the “Trash Can”. It is to be noted that the feature right now is only on experimental stages and a lot yet needs to be done in this regard. It needs to be seen as to how users take this new experiment from Google.
